Next Round of Parks Workshops Scheduled!

Following up on previous public input workshops, the City of Casselberry has scheduled the first set of joint City Commission and Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (“CC/PRAB”) workshops to discuss conceptual plans for six parks. Updated conceptual plans for each park will be presented and discussed at these workshops. There will be opportunity for public input on each park. BOTH workshops will be held at the Casselberry Police Department Multipurpose Room (located on the first floor at 4195 S US HWY 17-92, just north of City Hall).

Below are meeting dates/times and the parks that will be discussed each night (in the order they will be discussed):

Wednesday, March 20, 2019 @ 6:30PM

  • Dew Drop Park
  •  “Wheel Park - Casselberry”
  • Secret Lake Park

Monday, April 1, 2019 @ 6:30PM

  • Lake Concord Park/Art House Expansion
  • Sunnytown Park
  • Wirz Park

Guidance received from the CC & PRAB at these workshops will be used to further refine the conceptual plans and then develop detailed cost estimates. Once the conceptual plans are finalized, the City of Casselberry intends to use them to prepare for a potential voter referendum later in 2019, where City of Casselberry residents will be able to vote on potential dedicated funding for major park improvements.
