Fire Rescue
Overview
The Fire Department is organized into two divisions; the Fire-Rescue Operations Division, which provides fire and emergency medical response service to the community, and the Protective Services Division, which provides two Bureaus who are responsible for regulation and building safety. |
The Fire Department employs 57 members, 46 of which are certified firefighters, paramedics, or emergency medical technicians (EMS). Nearly all members of the Fire Department are subject to State of Florida standards for employment and certification of their professions and educational upkeep of those various licenses and/or certifications throughout their employment. In order to facilitate these trainings the Fire Department participates (pays for) memberships in two training consortiums, The Seminole County Training Group and the Central Florida Fire Academy. Members can also receive training through the Seminole Community College. |
