The City of Casselberry:

  • Located in southernmost section of Seminole County
  • Became a City in July 1965
  • Encompasses eight square miles

Police Department Facts:

  • July 1965 - Established by City Charter
  • January 1966 - First Chief of Police appointed by Mayor
  • First Department consisted of a Chief, Lieutenant, Sergeant, two Patrolmen and several Auxiliary Police Officers

Currently there are 55 sworn positions and 17 civilians.
