Emergency Management

City Emergency Management includes:

  • Keeping an up-to-date City Emergency Management Plan
  • Coordinating with Police Department layout plans and readying the Police Department’s multipurpose room as the City’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
  • Coordinating activities monthly with Seminole County Emergency Management
  • Conducting annual training and drills for City staff on the management of large scale emergencies and disasters

The Department also has graphical information systems (GIS) capability which augments emergency management and shares an Information Systems Specialist with the Police Department to keep hardware and operations specific software in both offices and vehicles operational.
