The Public Works Department is an essential contributor in moving the City forward, reaching its full economic and cultural potential with the support of sound public infrastructure and with outstanding services to its residents and utility customers.   

The core responsibility for the Department involves the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the City’s public infrastructure.

The City’s Public Works Department is a full-service entity, handling all aspects of public works.

The Department is organized by technical areas of expertise:

  • Transportation/stormwater
  • Water/wastewater
  • Special projects (including permitting and vertical construction

It is the Department’s focal goal that through proper infrastructure management, the Department will improve the quality of life for City residents and will ensure a solid foundation for the City’s steady revitalization.
