Community Redevelopment
The Community Redevelopment program focuses on the downtown portion of Casselberry to revitalize the economy of downtown business and to restore the physical appearance and civic pride in the downtown area. The City's redevelopment efforts are guided by the Community Redevelopment Agency. Their area of responsibility is the Community Redevelopment District (CRD), consisting of the area along U.S. 17-92 between S.R. 436 and Seminola Boulevard.

The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and City Commission adopted the “CRA Urban Design Standards” to direct development within the CRD. The standards include a Master Plan of the entire area. These standards provide criteria for public space design for the commercial and mixed-use corridors, neighborhood streets and gateway areas. Also provided are use and development criteria for commercial, large format retail, town center, industrial and residential areas on private properties. Adherence to the Master Plan and the architectural standards will improve the appearance and functionality of the area.
