Overview
The Economic Development Division takes a proactive approach to attract businesses to Casselberry and retain them by targeting growth industries including existing businesses.
The growth of existing businesses as well as new businesses create an even stronger job market.
Our Mission
The Economic Development Division's mission is to implement a regional program designed to create economic stability and growth within the City with a particular emphasis on business attraction, high wage jobs, as well as business development and redevelopment.
The primary responsibilities for the Division include:
- Promote economic development and redevelopment within Casselberry
- Enhance and encourage the retention of existing businesses and establishment of new businesses
- Pursue grants from Local, State, and Federal agencies to aid in maintaining the physical and economic integrity of the community
- Distribute and discuss the information for the available incentive programs
- Meet and greet business owners
- Promote downtown as the cultural, commercial, and entertainment center of the City and encourage activities that attract a diverse and multigenerational population
- Sustain and enhance existing community character
- Promote the City's resources to prospective businesses and industries
Business Resource Showcase - Power Tools for Success
The Seminole State College's Economic Development Department and SCORE are hosting a Business Resource Showcase for you, the business owner and/or aspiring entrepreneur. There will be 3 floors of exhibitors to assist with starting or growing your business. Representatives will be present from Federal, State, County, and Local agencies, Chambers of Commerce, Banks/Lenders, and local businesses. This program is to provide guidance for "seasoned adults" to evaluate the feasibility of starting and succeeding in a small business.
Instructor Gene Romagna is a graduate of St. Joseph's University. He started The Learning Group of Orlando in 1992 and has a wide variety of experience as an entrepreneur in the corporate world. Gene is past chair of the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce Small Business Chamber, a former area manager and a Certified Business Analyst for the UCF Small Business Development Center. He is dedicated to helping people properly evaluate and execute real ways to start and maintain a successful business.

The Casselberry Marketing Business Council is a City-sponsored organization, used as a tool to promote existing businesses, as well as bring new businesses to the City of Casselberry.
The CMBC will strive to maintain and continually improve the City's business climate by:
* Quarterly meetings to discuss improvements and challenges for the businesses
operating in the City;
* Offer business educational programs and seminars and;
* Develop tools to promote the City and its businesses by implementing events.
