Current Stormwater, Lake Management, and Water Quality Projects

In addition to actively maintaining the City’s public stormwater management systems, each year the City works to implement new projects designed to improve water quality and drainage. Below is a list of some of our current projects:

Storm Drain Rehabilitation Project
This project is targeting multiple locations in central and north Casselberry to address failing pipe lines, outfalls, and other structures. It principally consists of re-lining of older storm pipes to restore their integrity and correct pipe joint failures. I will also address erosion issues and settling issues at some locations.

Triplet Chain and Queens Mirror Lake Alum Treatment for Sediment Inactivation Projects
These projects consist of a series of four whole lake alum treatments each for Middle Lake Triplet, North Lake Triplet, South Lake Triplet, and Queens Mirror designed to reduce the release of phosphorus from lake sediments into the lake water column. A total of four treatments for each lake are planned. Click here for more information. (link to http://www.casselberry.org/DocumentCenter/View/8389 )

Triplet Lake Drive Signature Street Project
This is a multi-faceted retrofit project that will add complete street improvements, drainage improvements, and new sanitary sewer to Triplet Lake Drive from Quail Pond Circle to the Middle Lake Triplet boat ramp. Design is currently underway and construction is anticipated to commence in 2014.
