Residential Parking
Parking in an organized manner is necessary to preserve the residential character, integrity, and unique aesthetic qualities of neighborhoods within the City of Casselberry.

Definitions

Business Related Vehicle is defined as any motor vehicle that is used for business purposes that is less than or equal to 22 feet in length or 8 feet in height. This includes:
  • Vehicles with sign copy area
  • Vehicles with attachments or accessories
  • Utility trailers less than 25 feet in length

Recreational Equipment is equipment, motorized or not, that is for the resident’s individual and personal use and licensed to the property owner/resident where it is located. This includes:        
  • Recreational vehicles (RV)
  • Motor homes
  • Boats
  • Trailers designed to carry recreational equip
  • All-terrain vehicles (ATVs)
  • Campers and pickups with a mounted camper

Screening is defined as solid opaque fence or wall of healthy landscape material used to visually shield or obscure a vehicle or equipment. Screening does not include fabric or mesh screen.

CODE REQUIREMENTS

Business Related Vehicles
  • Approved parking locations in single family parking districts are: 1) garage, 2) carport, 3) screened side yard, and 4) screened rear yard.
  • Only one side yard may be utilized for business related vehicles. One side yard shall remain open and free of vehicles/equipment.
  • Only 1 business related vehicle is allowed on a residential site.
  • Business vehicles stored in the side yard shall be screened at the front from the roadway.
  • Required height of screen material: 8 feet
  • Screen material shall be erected to provide a rectangular enclosure.

Recreational Equipment
  • Approved parking locations in single family parking districts are: 1) garage, 2) carport, 3) screened side yard, and 4) screened rear yard.
  • Only one side yard may be utilized for recreational equipment parking. One side yard shall remain open and free of vehicles/equipment.
  • Only 1 recreational vehicle (RV) is allowed on a residential site. There is no limit to the number of recreational equipment allowed per site.
  • Recreational equip stored in the side yard shall be screened at the front from the roadway.
  • Required height of screen material: 6 - 8 feet
