The Building Division manages the construction or alteration of buildings and any other structures erected within the City through the issuance of building permits, review of plans and specifications for building materials and methods, and the regular inspection of construction up through completion of the project. New buildings, when completed, are issued a certificate of occupancy which then allows the building to be occupied.

The City of Casselberry utilizes the services of Universal Engineering Sciences to provide plans review and inspection services. The City's Building Services Coordinator organizes permit applications, permit issuance and inspections with our contactor.

The building standards are provided by a state-adopted Building Code which is the minimum code for the regulation of building construction within the State of Florida. Permit and inspection fees fully fund this operation.
