Casselberry Police Department Mourns the Loss of a Great Man

Dennis Stewart.JPG

It is with extreme sadness and remorse that the Casselberry Police Department announces the unexpected passing of Lieutenant Dennis Stewart.  Dennis served the citizens of Casselberry for 26 years and ten months, working his way up through the ranks.  Dennis was 53 years young.  He served as Lieutenant for the past 12 years, working in investigations, traffic, professional standards, community relations, training and patrol. In addition, he served as the police information officer (media relations) for several years.  Dennis was a commensurate professional who represented the highest standards and traditions in law enforcement and this Department.

Dennis is survived by his wife Norma and children, David and his wife Aimee, Debbie and her husband Joe, Timothy, Stephen, John, Nathan, granddaughter Isabella, mother Delma, brother Daryl and his wife Nancy, sister Deanna, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A trust fund has been set up for the Stewart family.  Donations can be made at the BB&T Bank (located on SR 436) in Casselberry, Florida.
