Jazz, Art & Golf Weekend
VIP ReceptionGreat Night for Jazz and Art
On Saturday, October 23, 6-9 p.m., Lake Concord Park was jamming with people of all ages united for an unforgettable night of jazz with Nick Colionne & Jackiem Joyner. The largest jazz event ever held in Casselberry began with a special VIP party at the sculpture center. Guests were invited to meet the talented musicians while being surrounded by beautiful pieces of sculpture created by 25 members of the Florida Sculptors Guild. The show, currated by David Cumbie of Crealdi, showcased some the best sculpture in Central Florida. Art exhibits in three different venues; the Firehouse Sculpture Center, the Art House and City Hall, opened for public viewing. As the jazz crowds continued to grow outside, Nick Colionne took the stage and there was plenty of high energy and excitement until the event ended in a grand finale featuring both Nick Colionne and Jackiem Joyner performing on stage together.

Swing “Fore” the Arts Golf Tournament
A perfect weekend ended with the Swing “Fore” the Arts Golf Tournament that took place at Deer Run Country Club. This year 92 golfers participated in this 4th annual tournament to raise funds for the arts. There were plenty of raffle items donated by restaurants, businesses and individuals throughout Central Florida totaling over $30,000 that included a weekend get-a-way for two at the Lowe’s Portofino Resort at Universal Studios and another one at the Westin of Lake Mary. A approximately $7,000 was raised at this event that will help fund the Art programs and projects in the City.
