  • Carriage Hill to Casselberry Greenway Trail Connection – Carriage Hill Drive Scheduled to be CLOSED Starting January 15, 2018 This small trail connection is under construction and will provide a direct link from Carriage Hill Drive to the Casselberry Greenway Trail. It will also feature the City's first raised crosswalk installation. Construction of the raised crosswalk is scheduled to begin Monday, January 15, 2018. This will require full closure of Carriage Hill Drive at 201 Carriage Hill Dr. No residential driveways will be impacted, but residents may need to alter how they travel to/from their homes. Detour signage will be placed directing vehicles around the closure via SR 436 and N Oxford Rd. It is anticipated the road will reopen before Monday, January 22, 2018. Click here for the detour plan.
  • Sunset Drive Livable Street Improvements – This project is slated to received federal funding for design later in 2018. In order to finalize the design scope, the project will be discussed at the January 22, 2018 City Commission meeting, and a Walking Audit open to the general public will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 starting at 9AM at Veterans Park. This project will narrow Sunset Drive (from Carriage Hill Dr to Button Rd) and widen the east side sidewalk, along with other bicycle/pedestrian-oriented improvements. Click here for details on the walking audit. If you can't make the Walking Audit, feel free to send questions or comments to the City Engineer, Kelly Brock, at or (407) 262-7725 ext 1235. Please send comments no later than January 31, 2018, so that they can be considered in the final design scope for the project.
  • Road Rehabilitation – Various Streets – This project was delayed due to Hurricane Irma but has resumed construction and is anticipated to conclude before the end of 2017. It includes milling/resurfacing, micro surfacing, and curb ramp/accessibility improvements to about 14 miles of streets within City limits. Click here for more information. Paving operations have been substantially completed. Permanent striping will be completed by early 2018.
  • Complete Streets Policy and Design Guidelines – The City of Casselberry adopted a Complete Streets Policy and Design Guidelines in 2016 to encourage roads to be designed and built to accommodate all users of all ages and abilities. Please click here  to view the full Policy.
  • North Oxford Road Complete Street Improvements – Construction of this project is completed.  Additional lighting installation should be completed by early 2018. Click here for a poster highlighting the project's features. 
  • Queens Mirror, Quail Pond, & Southcot Projects Design Update - A City Commission workshop to discuss these three transportation projects was held on August 14, 2017. Design of the projects is continuing, incorporating guidance from the City Commission. Click here to view the presentation from the June 20, 2017 public workshop for these projects.
  • Casselberry Greenway Trail Map Click the link for an updated map of the completed Casselberry Greenway Trail and existing nearby bike-friendly streets.

  • Connecting Casselberry: The Casselberry Multimodal Transportation Master Plan -The City of Casselberry has adopted a Master Plan to shape the next 10 years of local transportation projects, including roads, sidewalks, and trails in the City. The Plan also addresses Complete Streets Policy and Sustainability Policy. Click here.

  • Shared Lane Marking Installation – Various Areas – The City has been installing “sharrows” on various roads in the City as a bicycling improvement - click here for important details.

  • COMING SOON! Casselton Drive Improvements – The City of Casselberry is proposing significant improvements to Casselton Drive (located near the southern border of the City off of SR 436). This project will increase greenspace, reduce on-street parking, reduce asphalt area, and improve sidewalks, pedestrian safety features, drainage, and utilities. It is anticipated design of the project will be completed by the end of 2017. Construction is anticipated to begin in early 2018.   • Concord Drive Improvements – The City is designing road, drainage, utility, and sidewalk improvements for Concord Drive, including outfall improvements to Lake Lotus to help reduce flood potential. It is anticipated design will be completed by early 2018. Construction is anticipated to begin sometime in 2018. Check back for updates.

  • LYNX SR 436 Study – Help us improve SR 436! LYNX, along with several City and County partners, is conducting a study on SR 436 to improve transit, bicycle, and pedestrian features. Visit www.lynxsr436.com to find out more.
  • SR 436 (17-92 to Wilshire) Concept Development This FDOT study is building on the previous planning efforts of the SR 436 Corridor Planning Study, which identified a range of roadway improvements. The study limits are for the section of SR 436 from US 17-92 to Wilshire Drive, a distance of approximately one mile. This next phase, the Concept Development Study, is further refining the roadway improvements and detailing the impacts.   • I-4 Ultimate Improvement Project Underway – This is a large scale, multiyear FDOT project that will reconstruct 21 miles of I-4, from southwest of Kirkman Rd to northeast of SR 434. It will have a regional impact on traffic. Visit www.i4ultimate.com for information and updates.
