The Purchasing Division of the Finance Department is responsible for the following:
 
  • Establish and administer procurement objectives, policies, programs and procedures for the purchase and contracting of all material, supplies, equipment and services for the City.
  • Ensure that taxpayer dollars are prudently spent by purchasing goods and services at the lowest price, consistent with quality and delivery requirements.
  • Provide professional procurement services for the City by conducting business in accordance with the "Code of Ethics" established by the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, Inc.
