City Clerk's Office

Responsibilities

The Office of the City Clerk is dedicated to providing an array of quality services to the public. These include:

  • Maintaining and ensuring control of all official City documents and public records as custodian of the records
  • Supervision and administration of City elections
  • Preparation of agendas and related materials and minutes of City Commission meetings
  • Publishing and distribution of public notices as required by law

The City Clerk also handles the:

  • Coordination of the City's various advisory boards and committees
  • Provision of administrative support to the City Commission and the City Manager
  • Responding to public record requests and lien searches
  • Performing public relations duties with the public and media

Meet Donna G. Gardner, CMC, City Clerk

Donna G. Gardner, CMC, began her tenure as City Clerk on June 1, 2008. Ms. Gardner is a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) as designated by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), and is currently working toward the highest designation possible - Master Municipal Clerk (MMC). Ms. Gardner began her employment with the City of Casselberry and has worked in the City Clerk's Office since 1991.

In addition to her membership to IIMC, she is also an active member of the Florida Association of City Clerks (FACC), where she served 4 years as the Chairperson and 2 years as the Vice Chair of the Manual Revisions Committee, 3 years as a member of the Professional Education Committee, 4 years on the Institute Committee and 2 years as a member of Annual Conference Committee.
