The next City Election will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. On Election Day, the hours of voting are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. All precincts will be open.

Seats Up for Election in 2024:

  • City Commission Seat No. 4
  • Mayor/Commission Seat No. 5

Here are some important dates to keep in mind: 2024 Candidate Petition Deadline: Tuesday, April 16, 2024

2020 Candidate Qualifying Period: 12:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2024 through 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2024, during normal business hours.* *Normal business hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., however, on Friday, May 24, 2014, City Hall will be open 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. only for candidates to qualify with the City Clerk.

2024 Voter Registration Deadline: Monday, July 22, 2024

2020 Early Voting Period: To Be Determined.  By law, early voting must be held at least for 8 days.  The mandatory early voting period is August 10 - 17, 2024.  The Seminole County Supervisor of Elections may offer more early voting from one or more of the following days:  August 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and/or 18.

Vote by Mail Ballot Request and Return Deadlines

The deadline to request that a vote by mail ballot be mailed to you is no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 10, 2024.  The deadline for the vote by mail ballot to be returned and received is no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.  The ballot must be received by the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections.  To request a vote by mail ballot, please call the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Office at (407) 585-8363 or you can complete an online form.
