Too Slim and the Taildraggers, described as “straight whiskey blues with a Southern rock beer chaser,” headlines the 9th annual Craft Beers & Blues Festival in Casselberry, on Friday, Nov. 12, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lake Concord Park along with the regular scheduled Casselberry Food Truck event.
The free event, sponsored by the City of Casselberry and the Orange Blossom Blues Society, will also have 10+ food trucks, an art show and product vendors.
Taildraggers lead singer Tim “Too Slim” Langford is a monster guitarist and unabashed blues rocker whose influence runs the gamut from Duane Allman to Lynyrd Skynyrd to Robin Trower. He is a prolific singer/songwriter who has yielded 14 studio Traildraggers albums with bassist Zach Kasik and drummer Jeff “Shakey” Fowlkes, and two solo albums.
Their recently released album, “The Remedy,” has received rave reviews for its 10 original songs and one cover. Their previous album, “High Desert Heat,” charted 11 times on the Billboard Top Blues Album Chart and was nominated at the 2019 Blues Music Awards.
Besides the music, there will be a bevy of craft beers and gourmet food trucks.
Disabled parking and drop-off is next to the Casselberry Art House (127 Quail Pond Circle) and the front of the Casselberry Police Department (4195 S US Hwy 17-92). General parking is located at surrounding businesses.
