What is the Neighborhood Improvement Grant Program?
The City Commission approved project funding in the amount of $25,000 for the 2022 to 2023 Neighborhood Improvement Grant Program (NIGP). The purpose of the Neighborhood Improvement Grant Program (NIGP) is to incentivize residents and neighborhoods to enhance the curb appeal of homes and neighborhoods.
The submittal period for applications for the 2022-2023 grant cycle is now closed. Completed applications that were submitted before the deadline are currently under review. Please contact the Planning Division with any questions.
As part of the NIGP, there are two separate funding opportunities available to different individuals and organizations.
Homeowner Improvement Grant
Up to $2,500 award with a 50% match by the applicant for qualified homeowners. Those individuals who own and occupy a single family or mobile home within the City of Casselberry municipal limits are eligible to apply for the grant. Renters are not eligible. The grant is limited to one per household. Homeowners that have received a Homeowner Improvement Grant in the past five years are not eligible to apply for another grant.
Neighborhood Beautification Grant
Up to $2,500 award with a 50% match by the applicant for qualified Contractual Homeowner Associations (HOA). An organization or group may receive one grant per year for two consecutive years, but will not be eligible to receive a grant in year three. This cycle can be repeated. All Homeowner Associations must be in existence for at least one year prior to submitting an application and shall be required to submit the appropriate paperwork for confirmation. Applicants must own and maintain the property where the project is located.
