ADOPT – A –TREE PROGRAM AGREEMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
I want to act as a Tree Sponsor in the City of Casselberry’s tree planting program to help keep the City of Casselberry a “Tree City USA” city. The Public Works and Utilities Department will plant a tree on my property. I hereby grant permission for the City and its contractors and representatives to access my property to perform the tree installation. I hereby hold harmless the City of Casselberry of all liability associated with the tree, any damage it may cause, or any damage caused to it. After the tree the City plants and mulches the tree, I will water it regularly, use care to protect it when mowing, and if I move addresses I will notify the City, and ask the person who resides at this address after me to assume tree care taking responsibilities.

Please provide a short narrative explaining how planting tree at your property will help the City of Casselberry maintain a healthy, vibrant, and sustainable tree canopy and urban forest into the future. Let us know if you have or don’t have street trees on your street; did you have trees damaged/destroyed by storms; or other reasons why you are willing to be a City of Casselberry Tree Sponsor.

Please provide a sketch showing your property, property lines, sidewalk, driveway and road. Place an X on the location where you are requesting a tree to be planted. Please note that the location of the tree must be visible to the public. Attach a survey of the property, if one is available. Hard copies can be submitted with the application to the Public Works & Utilities Department, Attn: Special Projects Manager, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, FL 32707.

Upload any sketches, surveys, etc. that provides an insight to the proposed location of your tree. Acceptable formats are .pdf, .jpeg, or .doc.

Trees must be planted:
1. A minimum of ten (10) feet from the edge of the street pavement; or
2. A minimum of ten (10) feet from the edge of sidewalk or property line;
3. A minimum of ten (10) feet from driveways;
1. A minimum distance apart as specified by Casselberry according to tree species;
2. A minimum of thirty (30) feet from existing trees;
3. A minimum of thirty (30) feet from street lights, traffic signals, and power lines.

The City will do its best to provide you with your top selected tree. However, the actual tree awarded will be based on the available supply and suitability to your chosen location. This application will be considered incomplete if you do not select 3 trees from the list above. The City will contact you if it determines that it cannot provide a tree from your top three selections.
